Google not only renewed the email and chat service, Google is also rumored to have renewed their web indexing system. Caffeine is named the system. Changes in web indexing system was done for the convenience of customers, with more recent results. Because, in the new index system Caffeine has been providing approximately 50 percent of search results that Google’s newer than the previous index.
Later, the search results come not only through news portals and sites, but also include blogs and forum postings. Even users will get search results that are relevant to the content with a newer posting time. Earlier, Google’s index system is taken by taking small portions of the web every day, then the index by google and then led into the search results. With Caffeine, Google is exploring all over the web and find new information, for later in the index by google quickly.
Google’s old index consists of several levels. Some level updated quickly than other levels, while the main level will be updated every few weeks. To renew the old level of the index, Google will analyze the entire web. This means that there will be a significant gap in time to find the search results page to bring it to the front of the user. With Caffeine, Google analyzes the web in a small size and updating the search index on an ongoing basis. When Google finds pages or new information then it will be immediately directed to appear to the index.
Every second, hundreds of Caffeine to process up to thousands of pages in parallel. Caffeine takes approximately 100 million gigabytes of storage in a database and adding new information with hinggan hundreds of thousands of gigabytes of capacity per day.
